Four
days getaway on the central coast of New South Wales.
We surfed like legends and slept like logs ... or was it the other way
around?
With Jonny, Ian, James,
Lee-Ann and James.
Sorry about my Crowded-House-head.
When the locals saw this
pack coming toward them, everyone ran for cover - insurance cover, that
is!
Looking like some sorry extras from the classic surfing movie, 'Point
Break'.
Ian was, of course, the cool and mystical Bhodi.
Ian (The Bhodivista) helps
Jonny Utah to find the spiritual side of surfing.
Duck diving lessons on the
beach. Duck diving is based on a well established biblical principle:
You must go down before you can come up. As Jesus said, "He who humbles
himself will be exalted"
Lisa takes a few paddling
tips. Paddling is based on a well established spiritual (but not
exactly biblical) principle:
"He who hesitates is lost - paddle for your life!"
Praying for enjoyment and
safety. Now this really is the spiritual side of surfing!
Beach babes Naomi and
Tania.
Ian was our food hygiene
consultant for the week and was almost ready to
draw the line when we withdrew the left over rice from the rubbish
bin to use for dinner that night. Almost ready to draw the line!
Trying to decide whether
we've had too much sun and really ought to have breakfast inside today.
One of the many difficulties that gospel ministers face in Australia.
As good as the surf was,
this mature male silver-back wasn't too
happy to be aroused from his sleep at 6:30AM.
